Plague:The questions
If you think about how life is, realization of privilege and the level of life that we have is blinded due to our minds being used to life. If you break down life to a single thing it shows that life is more complicated. Though every person is different life come in a hiearchy. The rich and the middle classes to the lowest of poverty. It is in these lowest places that we find the diseases of the medical nature and the ones of some metaphorical thing we call doubt . In the book Plague a person would imagine it would deal with a disease of a medical essence but a disease isn't always medical. A disease can be anything from an addiction to a doubt in the back of someones mind. So the Plague of the mind and the Plague of the body are both present in this book.
A plague is a plague, a disease that causes harm but is it the body or the mind that dies first or is it the mind that cause the body to kill before death. The meaning of why a plague of the mind is worse than a plague of the body comes in the form of a sentence by Sir Thomas Brown in it he states "Thus, I say, must these authors read, and thus we must read our selves, for discoursing on matters dubious, and many controvertible truths, we cannot without arrogancy entreat cruelty to implore farther assent, than the probability of our reason and verity of experiments induce". This quote states that the minds own questions will be its own downfall. A plague of the body will hurt the victim's body yet the plague of the mind will hurt the others that get to experience such an ill mind. So in the book Plague both of these are present but what will get to the kids of Perido Beach and FAYZ. Will it be disease or questions of everything right now nothing is for certain but the life ends at one point but the end is only present when it needs to be.
