Free Post: First Quarter Vibes

So here the first quarter ends this week and so this is my last blog post for this quarter. It is hard to explain the trouble and benefit these blogs have brought me. I sometimes look back at my previous blogs and either think "Good Job." or "What was I thinking?". Kinda like the memories we have of our younger selves doing things that are completely outrageous. I can speak for all of my peers and say that when we heard we had to write these things, our faces were straight as a student should be but on the insides, we were crying like a kid who had just lost its favorite toy.
I did eventually learn though that the more of these I wrote the better a writer I became. I went from writing like an uncoordinated zebra to writing like a writer. So basically all these blogs have helped me be a better writer. All the work, all the late nights of delirium still trying write about a story that barely makes any sense made me a better writer. As strenuous as these are they help and that is what I'm hoping our teacher wanted.

    I like the whole blog about blogs thing you have going on. It gives me a nostalgic vibe. It seems like a good time for self reflection.

The difference between cultures and cities within our country never really jumped out at me until this break. I have been all over the world, islands, countries but I never really have been anywhere significant in our country. This break I went to Northwest Arkansas and it was insane. I started noticing the differences in the land. The land was like God sculpted it, rough and perfect. Plus the elavation made the air thinner and it was easy to breathe instead of the humidity ridden air we have down here. And then the culture, everyone supported each other just as much as they support the Razorbacks. Now I am one to love Lsu's football life but in Arkansas it was like one unit, one single body instead of the disorderly chaos of down south. I love the disorderly chaos though, it is what I am growing up threw but I will not deny the beauty that is the mountains, lands, places, and people of that state.

Vocabulary Post

   At school life is different. It is a series of classes and social interactions throughout an 8 hour day. Knowledge is extrapolated every day for the betterment of our lives. Though times that betterment comes at a price. Prices like the effrontery by classmates or even teachers in an extreme situation.     Not all of these things come at a price. Instead, laws take the place of anarchy. Cheating and purgery are rightfully placed so that a student may maximize the learning experience. The freedom that comes with a life without pastiche comes with this teaching.

Dear 12 year old

 Age is just a number a person measures age with. However a person's age has nothing to do on how they are measured. A person is measured on what their character is like, on how they live in life, in the success is earned, and by the respect gifted by peers. So at the age of twelve the realization that life is harder than it was perceived to be. Things like respect, character, and success aren't what motivates a kid at earlier points in life. Now at the age of twelve work starts to become harder. Though it seems stupid right now this is what will prepare you for the rest of your life. As the work keeps getting harder the success you earn becomes more prominent. The character that you didn't even know you had shows and as you get older the respect from your success will give gifts that you didn't even know you desired.
