Poem

Pain is just a mere thought Makes a person feel thirtsy without a shere drought I feel caught in a web of spiders and lies Caught within myself turned over and body wrythes And it is pain that destroys a persons brain if they are weak enough to feel that shame But what happens if it is not true And believed by anothers virtue And what happens if pain is nothingness Like netflis buffering less Or stating fact without someones bless Or speaking words only apparent to ones sex And thoughts are hurting a little bit less But it is the pain of the body heard out through ones mess Made up of things not worth shame Now we are back to blame Blamed for everything by those who can't shape their fame Like their own reputation is nothing but the same Type of thought and now we are back to the drought That one goes through without any one knowing So hard to show it feels better to just keep choking Cause these don't keep showing Because is nothing than weird sort of guy...

The difference between cultures and cities within our country never really jumped out at me until this break. I have been all over the world, islands, countries but I never really have been anywhere significant in our country. This break I went to Northwest Arkansas and it was insane. I started noticing the differences in the land. The land was like God sculpted it, rough and perfect. Plus the elavation made the air thinner and it was easy to breathe instead of the humidity ridden air we have down here. And then the culture, everyone supported each other just as much as they support the Razorbacks. Now I am one to love Lsu's football life but in Arkansas it was like one unit, one single body instead of the disorderly chaos of down south. I love the disorderly chaos though, it is what I am growing up threw but I will not deny the beauty that is the mountains, lands, places, and people of that state.

Draft Thesis

In my thesis, I talk about the conflict between Ralph and Jack and how they are opposites. "Kill the pig. Cut her throat. Spill its blood." Now, this quote is one of the darkest in this book. I chose it because it shows how different Jack and Ralph are. If you think about Ralph and Jack as two groups(Two Tribes), you see that one seeks blood and one seeks the preservation of life. Jack has the power of his knife and mask. If you take those away from him then he is nothing but and I'm just stating what the book says about him-" he was a tall, thin, and bony; his hair was red beneath the black cap. His face was crumpled and freckled and ugly without silliness." You look at Ralph however you see the power in looks, size, and prowess. All he needed was himself instead of the objects Jack needs.

So as all normal people would feel after these last few chapters. The feeling of utter shock and disbelief of the atrocities committed by these kids. In the beginning, we see the immaturity of not having any adults. We have all felt that freedom before but never for such a long time like this. BEing exposed to so much stress both mentally and physically. It has an affect on adults, but it becomes a game to children. So much mental illness is expressed. Roger, a sociopath, kills Piggy with a rock. We remember his attempts at hurting the littluns with rocks already. Then there is Jack acting like an immature tyrant. He thinks he is the greatest thing due to his mask and his knife. But if you take that away from him all that would be left is a scared little child with no physical or mental features to gain anything for him. Lastly, we have the thing that affects all the kids. Fear. The fear of death, the fear of the beast which seems to be deaths emissary. But it isn't...

Symbolism

I take the first step to make sure the ground under me is not the water that my thoughts are swimming in. Waking up is more of a challenge when nightmares ravage my brain. Both of my feet caress the cold floors. Looking down I see my feet all the way to my chest. The skin is getting its pigment from the blood rushing through my body. The one constant thing on me was the chain and pendantt that never leaves my body. It was my mothers before she died from cancer. It is the only thing that brings me peace. It is her with me always. I finish looking at the silver star on my chest and walk to my bathroom. "@#$%!" I exclaim. walking in the dark is not the best idea. While nursing my newly stubbed toe, the monster or thought that haunts me decides to frighten me a little more by noncheluantly stepping out of the shadows. It is just a trick in my mind. Just the manifestation of the worst parts of me. It is black as night in my room but i still get to my feet and continue to walk....

Vocabulary Post

At school life is different. It is a series of classes and social interactions throughout an 8 hour day. Knowledge is extrapolated every day for the betterment of our lives. Though times that betterment comes at a price. Prices like the effrontery by classmates or even teachers in an extreme situation.     Not all of these things come at a price. Instead, laws take the place of anarchy. Cheating and purgery are rightfully placed so that a student may maximize the learning experience. The freedom that comes with a life without pastiche comes with this teaching.

LOTf responses

I found in this book that all things have to mean even the grass the children walk on. The life they have formed is quite unnerving due to the fact of it being rotated around killing and saving. The interesting thing that I found was the fact that Ralph and Jack are complete opposites. We all can see the tension is rising between them, but that is not what I am referring to. I am referring to the actions they make. Of course, we all know the primary differences. Ralph's looks and Jack's serious ugliness. But it is the what they intend to do is what interest me. Ralph's main focus is that of saving and making sure that every child is safe and will get home. Jack's main focus is one. He wants to kill. He wants to hunt. It is this where you must ask the question to yourself. Would you look to save or kill in a most stressful environment?

Questions: What does it take to love others?

Think about all the people you like or better yet all the people that don't like you. What reasons do you have to like others or hate others? If you think about human evolution you see that we evolved into things of great power over our own selves. Just as easily as you may like someone else for the way they talk, the way they look, and the way they act we forget that it is within ourselves to unlock the feeling of love. You must be content in your self to truly like someone. When you are content with your slef you are happy with your self just for you. After the happiness you have is consistent you learn that it easy for you to like others. It is a question that has more levels. we are just breaking the first one.

Human Nature

Human nature is something no matter who you have. Though they are all extremely different. Human nature, however, is extremely hard to see. It either takes a person to the highest level of stress or someone who is so far above stress that is obsolete. In "Lord of the Flies" human nature is tested. The desperate type of human nature, the one that pushes a person to do horrid things. I honestly believe that it depends on what type of person you are. If you are a good person and respect yourself you may proceed to be good in desperate times. But if you are weak to give in then you will turn into a monster that no one wants. The strongest will achieves the act of staying good while the weakest will give into desperation. When it comes down to this human nature at its purest. The person you are decides the desperate person you are pushed to be.

Free Post: First Quarter Vibes

So here the first quarter ends this week and so this is my last blog post for this quarter. It is hard to explain the trouble and benefit these blogs have brought me. I sometimes look back at my previous blogs and either think "Good Job." or "What was I thinking?". Kinda like the memories we have of our younger selves doing things that are completely outrageous. I can speak for all of my peers and say that when we heard we had to write these things, our faces were straight as a student should be but on the insides, we were crying like a kid who had just lost its favorite toy. I did eventually learn though that the more of these I wrote the better a writer I became. I went from writing like an uncoordinated zebra to writing like a writer. So basically all these blogs have helped me be a better writer. All the work, all the late nights of delirium still trying write about a story that barely makes any sense made me a better writer. As strenuous as these are they help...

Harrison Bergeron: Broken Down

Imagine that you are in the time period of this story. What would your life be like? What handicaps would you have? What would Harrison's rebellion mean to you? This story full of humor and upbeat yet with no real frame of life. Harrison is the most exceptional person in this story. He is the epitome of what it means to be a person. The U.S.H.G fears him cause of this exceptionality and uniqueness. Now if we relate this back to our and even the time this was written the fear of difference is still present. You see the author though a socialist did believe that a political and economic theory of social organization that advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole, not just one group regulating the flow of everything. The point that this story was meant to be a testament to civilization, not a story to make a smile. The author does an excellent job of hiding the point of this behind humor that makes the...

Fire: Flash Fiction

Thud! My back falls hard against the cold brick walls that line the alley. My legs tired from running and jumping. My arms held close to my chest stunting the flow of blood from the metal fragment that impaled me. The fire decimated the building I called home. The fire had decimated me. My face unrecognizable from the ash and black that covered it. How it happened? What had gone so wrong? Why her? Why did I have to lose her? My mind is darkened. My body struck by the pain that comes from trauma both physical and emotional. I wake up in my bed in my house in upstate New York. My sweat is soaking into the silken sheets. The blankets are scattered across the carpet floor. My eyes full of tears. The memory is as vivid as it is distraught. I remember it fully. The alarm going off. The fire spreading through every apartment. My found love being crushed by the roof that fell. I feel the scare on my upper shoulder.  The scare is shaped like a crescent moon and has no signs of ever fading...

MEaning

What does it mean to me or to the person I am writing to? The question I ask for every word that I type. The Narrative that I am currently editing is a reflection that I hope everyone can see themselves in. My focus is for the meaning of a statement made by me. Saying that Life can be what ever you make it only by the drive and work that the person is set to do. Theis is a focus of what it will you mean in your own life? What will you do? What will you be? Will you suceed to be average or will you be something more? Will you let go of the things that you have no control of and focus on the things you can control? These questions are the drive in my paper. I am set out to write something that everyone can understand. A universal narrative that works with everyone. Though my grammar and punctuation still needs work and my word may not be spelled correctly. All these words mean something and make up the meaning of writing.

Dialogue

Syd walked into the room with a look of extreme anguish on his face. Ty exclaims,"Why the long face brah?". Syd states, "Man all these questions and stuff. They just keep on racking my brain.". "What type of questions?" Ty says with a calm tone. "Just about life and the stuff that may or may not happen." Syd stated. "Like why do I do the things I do or why I care about things that are just flat out stupid, you know?" Syd said very quickly. "That is some heavy stuff but I don't know?" Ty said to the air. " Hey brah just talk to me after class and we may figure this out."Syd said.     As the boys set out on the long, grueling journey that is Dr. D's English class. A thought entered Syd's mind. "Que pasa?" said Ty in his newly learned Spanish taught by Mrs. Clouatre. "Yo man I just figured the deep stuff out."said Syd excitedly. "What...

Dear 12 year old

Age is just a number a person measures age with. However a person's age has nothing to do on how they are measured. A person is measured on what their character is like, on how they live in life, in the success is earned, and by the respect gifted by peers. So at the age of twelve the realization that life is harder than it was perceived to be. Things like respect, character, and success aren't what motivates a kid at earlier points in life. Now at the age of twelve work starts to become harder. Though it seems stupid right now this is what will prepare you for the rest of your life. As the work keeps getting harder the success you earn becomes more prominent. The character that you didn't even know you had shows and as you get older the respect from your success will give gifts that you didn't even know you desired. I learned this as a young child that if you work hard enough at anything than you can be the best at whatever it is you're working on. Hard work will...
